Biography

Annemarie Pérez teaches Interdisciplinary Studies at CSU-Dominguez Hills and Chicana/o Studies at Loyola Marymount University. Her specialty is Latina/o literature, with a focus on Chicana feminist writer-editors from 1965-to the present. Having participated in digital humanities workshops and conferences held by the Modern Language Association, HASTAC and THATCamp at Northeastern University and Michigan State University, she has a chapter, “Lowriding Through the Digital Humanities,” connecting Chicana/o digital culture with more mainstream work in the digital humanities in the collection Disrupting DH, forthcoming from Punctum Books. She is currently writing a book on Latina feminist editorship using SCALAR to perform close readings across multiple editions and versions of early Latina articles and essays.
