WORKSHOP: Openness and Open Educational Resources

Biography

Robin DeRosa (@actualham) is an advocate for Open Education, and her work focuses on issues related to Open Educational Resources (OER), open pedagogy, and open access to research. She is Professor and Chair of Interdisciplinary Studies at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, where she has developed a curriculum centered on learner-directed, networked pedagogy. Before moving to Interdisciplinary Studies, she was a literature professor for sixteen years, and she is editor of the Open Anthology of Earlier American Literature, a student-generated textbook project. Robin is also an editor at the open-access journal, Hybrid Pedagogy, and she was a Fellow at the Digital Pedagogy Lab 2015 Summer Institute. Her most recent work aims to mobilize the OpenEd movement to respond to the current challenges faced by public higher education. Robin will be offering a workshop on Openness and Open Educational Resources.
