Digital Pedagogy Lab is an entirely online, primarily asynchronous experience. Because the Lab is a global event, nearly all instruction and collaboration is facilitated through easily accessible digital platforms.
You should plan to spend 20+ hours on work, collaboration, and communication during the week of Digital Pedagogy Lab 2022 (August 1-5). However, because the Lab is taught asynchronously, and because we are well aware of the challenges of participation from home or office, you should participate as you are able. To encourage your participation, we recommend:
- Setting times during your schedule for the week as "away" or "busy" so that you can spend sustained time on reading, discussions, etc.
- Let your family, friends, roommates know you will be "at an event" all week, and that you require the freedom to be preoccupied.
- Get in touch with your track instructor(s) and let them know if you foresee any barriers to participation.
