How to Ruin a Course
Designing courses, especially in online and hybrid spaces, is a tricky process. We might hope to create an experience that is inclusive and engaging for our students, but it’s easy to ruin a course.
In this hands-on workshop, we will examine course design in all its inherent messiness. Participants will work together to decide on necessary pedagogical features, student needs and agency, and the relationship between the two. You will have the time and space to examine your courses on paper and refresh your perspective.
Pick your course, grab your markers, and let’s take on the course design challenge!
