Jessica Zeller

Jessica Zeller is an Associate Professor of Dance in the TCU School for Classical & Contemporary Dance. Her work is located at the intersection of progressive pedagogies writ large and ballet pedagogies specifically. Her monograph, Shapes of American Ballet: Teachers and Training before Balanchine (Oxford, 2016) addresses the work of early twentieth century ballet pedagogues, while her more recent research looks at progressive approaches to pedagogy in the twenty-first century ballet class and in the traditional classroom.
